Saint-Gobain MARISEAL 300B Solvent-free Polyurethane Waterproofing Membrane Liquid - Transparent
MARISEAL 300B is the second part of the two-component, liquid-applied, solvent-free, hard-elastic, polyurethane waterproofing membrane. It's designed for cold application and cold curing, creating a robust and durable waterproofing layer. This product is formulated to provide long-lasting protection against water ingress on a variety of surfaces. Notably, it's certified for contact with drinking water, making it suitable for the waterproofing of drinking water tanks and reservoirs (fully reinforced), drinking water supply channels (fully reinforced), and drinking water pipes. It is also used for the waterproofing of swimming pools (under-tile). Due to its two-component nature, it offers enhanced control over the curing process, resulting in a reliable and high-performance membrane. MARISEAL 300 is suitable for demanding waterproofing applications, including roofs, terraces, and other areas exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Its hard-elastic properties allow it to withstand mechanical stress while maintaining its waterproofing integrity, contributing to the longevity of the structure.

How to use
- Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants like dust, grease, oils, and loose particles.
- Repair any cracks, holes, or uneven surfaces before application.
- Priming is essential to ensure proper adhesion. Use the appropriate MARISEAL primer recommended by the manufacturer, especially on porous surfaces like concrete.
- Allow the primer to fully cure before applying MARISEAL 300.
- The substrate must be dry.
- MARISEAL 300 consists of two components (A and B) that must be mixed thoroughly.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the precise mixing ratio.
- Use a low-speed mechanical mixer to ensure a homogeneous mixture.
- Mix the two components for the time period specified in the technical data sheet.
- Be aware of the product's pot life (working time) after mixing, as it will begin to cure.
- Apply MARISEAL 300 using a brush, roller, or airless spray. Airless spray is most efficient for larger areas.
- Apply the product in layers, ensuring the recommended thickness is achieved.
- Multiple thin layers are better than one thick layer.
- Always follow the manufacturers instructions relating to the amount of product that should be applied per square meter.
- In areas prone to movement or stress, such as corners and joints, reinforcement with a polyester fleece or similar material is recommended. Embed the reinforcement fabric into the wet MARISEAL 300.
- When applying multiple layers, ensure proper overlapping to create a seamless membrane.
- MARISEAL 300 cures through a chemical reaction between the two components. Curing time is influenced by temperature and humidity.
- Allow the product to cure completely before exposing it to water or traffic.
- Protect the freshly applied membrane from rain, dust, and other contaminants during the curing process
- After curing, inspect the membrane for any defects or thin spots.
- In some cases, a topcoat may be applied for added protection or aesthetic purposes.
Important Notes:
- Always consult the MARISEAL 300 technical data sheet and application guide for detailed instructions.
- Accurate mixing is crucial for proper curing and performance.
- Pay close attention to temperature and humidity, as these factors can significantly impact curing time.
- Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, respirators, eye protection, etc.).
