Atlas SMS 15 is designed to effectively even out substrates within a thickness range of 1-15 mm. It is suitable for addressing both localized irregularities and slight slopes across the entire substrate. This makes it an ideal solution for raising the floor level throughout a room, particularly when there is a need to level two adjacent spaces seamlessly. Perfect for use in areas with high humidity, such as domestic bathrooms, ensuring durability and performance in challenging environments. Recommended for levelling the surface of existing cement and anhydrite heating screeds, especially when unevenness hinders the installation of final cladding. A thin layer of Atlas SMS 15 can be applied to create a smooth, even surface. Once cured, it provides a very smooth surface, making it particularly suitable as a finishing layer for thin-layered and PVC panels.

Consumption: Average consumption is 16,6 kg of mortar for 1 m²/10mm layer thickness.

APPLICATION

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants like grease, oil, or loose particles.
• Prime the surface with a suitable primer recommended by the manufacturer.
• Add the required amount of clean, cold water to the SMS 15 powder.
• Mix thoroughly using a low-speed mixer until you achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency. Avoid over-mixing.
• Pour the mixed SMS 15 onto the prepared surface.
• Use a suitable tool like a notched trowel or a roller to spread the material evenly.
• For larger areas, consider using a pump or a spreading machine.
• The self-levelling properties of SMS 15 will automatically level the surface, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
• Allow the SMS 15 to set according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Avoid foot traffic or laying floor coverings until the material has fully cured.
