Arbet 20mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite EPS) for External Wall Insulation (pack of 30) - 15m2
Arbet 20mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite EPS) is a high-quality expanded polystyrene (EPS) board enhanced with integrated graphite within its bead structure. The graphite particles, which give the board a distinctive dark grey colour, significantly improve its insulation capability.
Unlike traditional white EPS, Graphite Polystyrene reflects radiant heat, reducing heat transfer and providing up to 20% greater R-value for the same thickness. The closed-cell structure of the EPS board traps air within its beads, creating a barrier against heat conduction.
As warm air moves through Graphite Polystyrene, it is repeatedly reflected by the graphite particles, slowing down its transfer and making the board more energy efficient. This improved thermal conductivity of 0.031 W/mK makes Graphite Polystyrene a superior choice for insulation compared to standard expanded polystyrene boards.

Installing as Insulation for External Walls:
- Prepare the wall surface by ensuring it is clean, dry, and free of any debris or irregularities.
- Measure and cut the polystyrene sheets to fit the wall dimensions, allowing for a snug fit.
- Apply a layer of adhesive, such as a polystyrene-compatible construction adhesive, to the back of the polystyrene sheet.
- Press the polystyrene sheet firmly onto the wall, ensuring it is level and properly aligned.
- Secure the polystyrene sheet with mechanical fasteners, such as plastic or metal anchors, if necessary, to provide additional support.
- Seal any gaps or joints between the polystyrene sheets using a compatible sealant or tape.
- Protect the polystyrene insulation with a suitable exterior cladding system, such as stucco, siding, or brick veneer.
- Produced to the requirements of EN-13163 Standard.
